Exit Games is always on the look-out for new rooms or venues that are opening, references in the media or anything else that might be of interest to the readers, so please do send an email if you spot anything of interest. On to the news
- General
- There’s a new audio escape room set to be launched – no idea what the model is but the trailer for 3D Escape Room: Frequency suggests the production values will be reasonably high.
- Scotland
- Catch 22, a venue in Glasgow, have opened their game, an Alice in Wonderland adventure
- East Midlands
- Trapp’d Kettering is the sixth Trapp’d venue to open. For now, they’ve added the horror-themed game Abigail to their catalogue but expect two more games to follow in the near future: Dead Man’s Cove and VX2.0
- West Midlands
- Dr Who: Worlds Collide is opening this week at Escape Hunt Birmingham. That brings the total number of Escape Hunt games to 43 and sees them overtake Breakout as the fourth biggest company in the UK by room count (behind Escape, Clue HQ and Escape Reality)
- South East England
- The Comms Room is opening at Escape in the Towers in Canterbury. The venue’s pretty impressive, being located in a 14th century building and this particular game, according to the website, is set within an original WWII comms room never before open to the public.
- Yorkshire and the Humber
- Take the Exit in Hull have opened Codename: Exit
- Escape Rooms Scarborough have opened Million Pound Heist
- After a break for the winter, Puzzlewoods in Sheffield is back with two games: Rogue Spy and The Miner’s Revenge
- South West England
- Housetrap is opening a new venue at Bodmin Jail. They’re heading back to the sixty minute format with Jailbreak which looks set to open next month.
- North East England
- The Riddle Room in Newcastle are closing down their existing game and replacing it with a new, as yet unnamed, scenario
- East England
- Escape Southend have launched with two games: Carnival of Curiosities and The Magic Prison of Azcatraz
- Axes and Escapes in Norfolk are replacing The Gauntlet with WhoDunit?East of England
- North West England
- Escape Hunt Manchester opened Alice in Puzzleland.
