On to the news
- North West England
- Compendium in Bury near Manchester has opened its third game – Bedlam.
- London
- Access Escape is a new venue in the capital with a very specific focus – delivering a game that’s accessible for the blind and partially sighted. It’s great to hear about companies making more inclusive escape games. Well done!
- Komnata is opening its second venue in the capital, this time in Tooley Street, near London Bridge. They’ve imported two games from their New York location – The Maze of Hakaina, which sees you escaping from within a maze, and Sherlocked, a game for two players where you get locked in boxes…
- South East England
- Hysteria in Chatham has announced a Hallowe’en attraction that will take place for a week in Fort Amherst. Saturday slots are selling out fast so if you want to play, jump in quick!
- Mythologic Escape Rooms opened in Gillingham last week with their first experience The Game.
- Those with a long memory may remember Clue Cracker as being the first company to open up in Margate. After a long haitus (in escape room terms), they’re reopening – this time in Tunbridge Wells. Their new experience is called Jailbreak, a similar experience to their first game so if you visited their previous room.
- Random Rooms on the Isle of Wight has reopened after its relocation. First up, it’s brought back three of its old games although there are plans for a couple of new experiences to be added to the lineup. Even better news ALL of their games are wheelchair accessible as well as being deaf-friendly. In fact, they’ve put a lot of work in to make their games more inclusive. For example, choosing the colour scheme and adding magnifying sheets to assist those with visual impairment and ensuring that all the atmospheric lighting/effects can be switched off for those who can’t process a lot of stimuli.
- East of England
- The Panic Room Harlow opened CSI: The Mafia Murders
- West Midlands
- Hatton Escape Rooms has opened at Hatton Country World near Warwick. A quick look at the site will probably remind you of the well-respected Tulleys Escape Rooms in Crawley and, in fact, their first two games are Mutiny and The Outfitters, both successfully installed at the original site.

- Breakout Live Swansea has opened Prison Strike
