Exit Games is always on the look-out for new rooms or venues that are opening, references in the media or anything else that might be of interest to the readers, so please do send an email if you spot anything of interest. On to the news
- Temporary attractions
- Adrenaline Escape and Wirral Escape Rooms have teamed up to offer a scare escape attraction around Hallowe’en called Terror Mall. Last I heard, tickets had easily sold out but keep your eyes peeled to see if they release more slots!
- Pier Pressure is running an immersive experience at Preston Manor that promises to take their brand of escape room experience and transport it to a historic building. Only a handful of tickets remain so if you’re interested, get booking!
- Hysteria Escape Rooms is running Contagion from 25 October to 2 November with an escape experience that sees you investigating an alien spacecraft at Fort Amherst.
- ADT are running a competition to win tickets to play an escape room in (I believe) London.
- North East England
- Project Escape in Middlesbrough opened Haunted
- Enigma Escape Rooms in Middlesbrough opened Young Guns
- Pirate Escape in Newcastle opened The Secrets of the Orient (and closed down the Brig to make way)
- Quest Rooms in South Shields seems to have stopped taking bookings – no hint as to why.
- North West England

- Total Enigma in Carlisle opened The Book of Shadows
- Houdini’s Escape, the well-thought of chain that originated in Southampton opened a new venue in Cheshire Oaks with a copy of their game, Alcatraz
- Supernatural Diaries is a brand new venue in Leigh which seems to be co-located with genuine (or as genuine as you’ll believe) seances. It’s no surprise then that their first game, 1427 Potter Lane, is a supernatural experience.
- Escape Yellow Sub closed its doors
- Breakout Manchester – Church St opened two new games – Sabotage and Emporium of Magic
- Time Race in Bury opened Escape: 999
- Mission Exit in Manchester has temporarily suspended bookings while they look for a new venue.
- Escape Reality Manchester opened two new games, Auron and Ritual
- Cantina Space Bar in Manchester has closed its doors and headed to a galaxy far far away.
- Lucardo Rawtenstall opened Safe House
- Adrenaline Escape in Wigan opened Kidnapped
- East of England
- Escape Live is opening their fifth venue – this time in Chelmsford
- Vire in Bishop’s Stortford opened Governor’s Prison
- Cryptx in Cambridge closed School of Hard Locks
- The Curious Case at McGuffin’s is opening at Cryptx in Cambridge
- Locked Escapes in Dunstable has opened two games – The Real Peaky Blinders and The Great Train Robbery
- Suffolk Food Hall in Ipswich closed Vanished – Prof Campbell’s Lab
- Locked In Lynn in Kings Lynn is a new venue with two games – Prison Break and Diamond Heist
- Axes and Escapes in Norfolk opened Solutions Inc
- Maldon Escape Rooms opened Deep Trouble
- Clued Up Escapes in Norwich opened their doors with three games: Nuclear Countdown, The Bank Heist and Prison Breakout
- Thinking Outside the Box in Peterborough closed its doors after the building they were in was condemned. No word yet on whether they’ll reopen elsewhere.
- Room Escape Southend opened The Cottage and The Forgotten Tomb
- Yorkshire and the Humber
- Enigma Rooms is opening a new venue – this time in Hull
- Labyrinth in Grimsby closed Pirate Cove Plunder
- Cryptic Escape Rooms in Huddersfield opened The Upside Down
- Escape Hull opened Escape the Seven Seas
- Take the Exit in Hull opened The Chapel
- Kanyu in Wetherby opened Poachers Compound’
- Hex is opening at Cluedini in Yarm
- Northern Ireland
- Escapade HQ in Belfast opened The Magic Emporium
- Elementary Escape Rooms in Portrush closed Girona’s Lost Treasure to make way for a new game.
- Scotland
- Escape Berwick is a new venue in Berwick on Tweed with two games, Saw: Survival and Nuclear Bunker
- Elgin Escape is another new Scottish venue with their opening game called Chernobyl Hotel
- Cryptic Kingdom in Fife is a third venue opening north of the border with their first game being a Sherlock room
- South West England
- Housetrap is opening its fourth venue next month. The latest location is Hengar Manor where they’ll be running The Cellar.
- Cornwall’s Great Escape Rooms closed Escape the Wild West
- Puzzle Room Cornwall closed The Archaeologist’s Office
- 11th Hour Escape Rooms in Chippenham closed The Exit Visa Crisis – A Musical Mystery and replaced it with Criminal Record
- Mission Escape in Exeter opened Chernobyl
- Trapped Escape Rooms in Gloucester closed The Haunted Hotel, Prison Break and The Hangover at their old site but worry not – they’ve opened a new site nearby with two games, The Butcher and Zombie Apocalypse
- Escape Down the Rabbit Hole in Devon closed Battle for Valondor and replaced it with College of Magic: The Room of Secrets
- Escape The Game in Devon opened Party House
- Bombadingas & Skullduggery in Redruth closed down
- Salisbury Escape Rooms closed Cold Case and replaced it with Murder at the Lab
- Lock and Code Taunton opened Can Opener
- Red House Mysteries (Torquay) opened On the Last Train to Paris
- Eureka Escape Truro opened Life after Death
- Ireland
- Escape HQ in Carlingford closed their two games, Infiltrate and Vacancy. The plan is for them to open two new games but no word yet on the titles or even themes!
- WeEscape Cork closed The Cell and opened The Black Pyramid
- Hell Escape in Dublin appears to have closed down
- Asylroom Galway opened Paranormal Activity
- East Midlands
- Trapp’d Sixfields is a new location at a Northampton football ground where it looks like their first game will be the thirty minute experience aboard a bus.
- Want to Escape Rushden is a new venue which opens two games early next month – The Conspiracy Theory and Santa’s Stowaway.
- Enter. Solve. Conquer. in Chesterfield closed down to focus on other things.
- Houdini’s Escape opened a couple of new games at their latest site in Kegworth – Houdini’s Last Secret and USS Redemption
- The Gateway is opening at Escapologic Leicester
- Cave Escape in Nottingham opened
Monuments
- One Way Out in Oakham opened up with two games, Framed and Puzzle Room
- Spalding Escape Rooms opened their venue with two games – The Infected and Save the World
- London

- Komnata London opened a new venue in Tooley Street where it looks likely they’ll be launching several games. For now, they’ve got Sherlocked, a two player game.
- The Riddle Within launches next month with Flight 338 and Chernobyl following a couple of months later.
- Modern Fables (Broadway Market) opened The Oracles
- Access Escape opened Dark Magik
- Buckingham Palace (The Queen’s Gallery) closed Leonardo Artmergency! after a sell-out summer run.
- South East England

- Random Rooms has relocated within the Isle of Wight. Several games were transported but expect to see more opening in the near future.
- Timelock’d is a new venue opening on the outskirts of Gravesend
- Escape Rooms High Wycombe is a new venture from the brains behind the Escapologist. More details on the games they’ll be running when I hear them.
- Sneaky Dog is a new venue in Southampton. For now they only have The Assassin’s Creed’s VR games but they intend to have escape rooms in the future.
- Escape Kent in Canterbury opened Missing
- Hysteria Escape Rooms in Chatham closed The Forgotten Realm
- Mythologic Escape Rooms in Gillingham opened Hypnos
- The Panic Room Gravesend closed Revolucion Ole
- Timelock’d in Gravesend opened The Xscape Factor
- Random Rooms in Isle of Wight opened The Dragon Room
- Escape Hub in Maidstone opened The Curse of Curawood’s Garden

- Mansion of Mystery opened at Picton Castle in Haverfordwest with a single game – The Time Machine
- Roomination in Llanfyllin opened Escape from the Cursed Galleon

- Be.Wild.Er is a new outdoors escape room venue in Stafford with the first game entitled Professor Adams and the Seeds of Change.
- Escape Live Birmingham opened Peaky Blinders: Double Cross and Peaky Blinders: The Raid
- Clue HQ Birmingham closed Bunker 38 and replaced it with CORE.
- Escape Now is a new venue in Birmingham with four games – Sherlock’s Secret, Haunted Hollow, The Getaway and Cyberwarfare
- Hour Escape Rooms at the National Brewery Centre in Burton opened Brewery Bandits
- Xscape Now in Telford opened Sweeney Todd
- Escape Break Free Stoke in Stoke on Trent closed Spy Mission: Knight Order and replaced it with Island of Incarceration
- Clockwork Escapes in Wolverhampton opened Starpoint Omega, a Hallowe’en variant on the Starpoing Alpha.
